These delightful Happy Hobby Horses are so much fun, in many ways. Suitable for all ages,

and a great way to use up your odd socks!

This popular activity is suitable for all ages! We will supply a few simple materials and tools for you to create a Hobby Horse of character and charm to ride off into the sunset with! Tally Ho!

Or make dance sticks, wands, whatever you fancy with the array of crafts and natural materials we will supply.

We will hold races and have unique Ruddy Tyke rosettes too!

Bushcraft Activities

Willow weaving - Fairy wings

Natural Artist - Making all natural paints and paintbrushes 

Natural Fibres - Making cordage/rope out of all natural fibres. 

Wild Plant ID - We can explore the grounds and look at edible and medicinal plants. 

Natural Clay Modelling - Using clay and lots of natural crafty items to create an item to take home 

Leaf Printing - Using natures as a template and a mallet to press the shape on to a fabric swatch for you to create your very own art to take home.

For the adventurous Ruddy Tyke bushcrafters  under qualified supervision, you can learn

about and have a go at the following skills.

Knife Skills/ Carving - Carve either a tent peg or a conifer tree 

Fire Skills - Sparks only with primitive methods being used just like our ancestors

Axe Skills - Learn about the axe and how to use it and have a go! 

All of the above are accompanied by qualified Bushcraft practitioners.
